BVBA & BVCA

The BVBA board has discussed and agrees that we should pursue the creation of a new entity which would combine the existing Civic and Business Association as the Barnstable Village Association with a 501 C tax designation. This would make much sense as it would reduce the duplication of administration, fund raising and events conducted by both entities. Discussions have been held with officers of the Civic Association board and they agree to moving forward on this. However, they have not yet recommended it to their board and membership. If approved there would be a single board with Committees established for responsibilities and events. There would be a single bank account, etc. I would prepare the legal documents to do this (at no cost).

This is something that we have been considering for some time and it just seems like the right thing and time to do it.

I would appreciate your comments on the above

Thanks
Joe Berlandi
